His Promises, Our Anchor - Hebrews

HEBREWS 6:13-20

ICEBREAKER QUESTION:

If you could go back or forward in time, where would you go?’ ‘Why?’ You can then follow up with questions such as ‘Is there a person you would like to meet?’

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

  1. What promises of God have you found to be particularly comforting and why?

  2. List as many details about Abraham’s life as you can (see Genesis 12 through 24 if you need some reminders). What do you find challenging, inspiring, confusing, or comforting about his story?

  3. What are some times in life when you have found it difficult to trust in God’s promises?

  4. What is something you had to wait a long time for? Was it worth the wait?

  5. Why is patience important?
