ACTS 3:1-4:31

Jesus continues his work through the apostles by the power of the Holy Spirit. The religious leaders choose to reject Jesus’ work and try to stop the movement of God.

QUESTIONS

Why were Peter and John going to pray at the temple. (3:11)

In Acts 3:15 Peter calls Jesus “the Author of Life.” Look up John 1:1-3; 1 Cor. 8:6; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2,3. What is the common thread? How does this connect to the story about the lame beggar?

Why is it important for Peter to make clear that all the things that happened to Jesus were foretold by the prophets in the Old Testament. (3:17-24)

How does Acts 4:12 connect to Acts 1:8?

What was it about Peter and John that caused the religious leaders to say “that they had been with Jesus”? (4:13)

Is it right to ever disobey our governing authorities? If you said yes, when and why? (4:19,20)  

Is there a promise or truth to trust in from our study in this passage?
