King of Kings - Psalms

Psalms 2

QUESTIONS

What are some examples of where you see “the nations” setting themselves against God?

Psalm 1 opens with a beatitude (Blessed is...) and Psalm 2 closes with one (“Blessed are…”). Blessed can mean “happy, to be envied”. Why are those who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked (Psalm 1:1) and those who take refuge in God (Psalm 2:12) blessed?

Read Acts 4:23-30. What parallels do you see between these verses and Psalm 2?

Psalm 2:4-5 and 2:12 refer to God’s wrath and anger. How do these descriptions of God (here and in other places in scripture) sit with you?

What does it mean for Jesus to be our Lord? Are there areas of your life that you have (either in the past or currently) struggled to surrender to his Lordship?
